Description
Mid-century, vintage wall unit/storage display/bookcase from the 1950’s.
Piece is made of wood, with a golden oak-colored finish and a black color base, featuring 3 shelves on the upper section and below, a storage cabinet.
The top and center shelves measure at: W: 86 cm x D: 33 cm. The height in between both the top and the first shelf, and the first and center (second) shelf, is 24.5 cm. The bottom (third) shelf, measures at: W: 86 cm x D: 36 cm. The height in between the second (center) and bottom shelf, is 35 cm.
The dimensions of the lower storage cabinet, measure at:
H: 39 cm x W: 86 cm x D: 40 cm x H: 39 cm. There are 2 doors that open and close properly with its 2, original, brass-colored handles with green “Scoubidou” (craftlace/lanyard), in very good condition (see photos.)
The 2 side panels, have a long, sleek, “shark fin” design, with a depth of 36 cm at the top, and a depth of 45 cm, at the base.
The 2 panels also have an elegant, carved design from the edge of the top, down to the base (see photos.)
Piece is in overall good, original and vintage condition, with some old marks and signs of previous usage commensurate with time, on the top, panels, shelves and inside of the cabinet (see photos), as well as patina of time.
The piece is solid, stable and has only been gently cleaned, polished and waxed, with respect to its original condition and patina of time.
